The Butterfly Effect

peace-on-earth

My heart is bleeding. I see dead children on the news every day. I want to look away, but they wouldn’t let me forget them. By blowing up children in the name of self-defense, 350 of them as of today, humanity has failed.

Should we be concerned with events seemingly remote and unrelated to us? If annexation of Crimea has taught as anything, it is that the flutter of the wings of a butterfly triggers a complex mechanism that leads to the hurricane halfway across the world. We are more connected to each other than we know.

Let us hope this also works in reversal.
The following organisations are accepting contributions to their humanitarian efforts in Gaza –

Lastly, follow these amazing doctors in #Gaza who are dodging bombs, saving lives and tweeting for awareness in between.
